Journal

Hey everyone.  Well the end is almost here.  A couple more weeks and I will be home.  I'm having a fabulous time on the tour but am looking so forward to come home and see everyone.  I also can't wait to get home and start helping my older brother Camiel plan his wedding.  The shows this week in Florida have been going really great and some want to re-book for next year.  The weather has finally gotten a little better here it's been about 85 the last couple days.  Tomorrow I perform a show at the Orlando Fairgrounds then it's off to Tennessee for a week.  I have a few meetings there and a couple song writting sessions and am going to be spending some quality time with Mark who I haven't seen in a month.  After I get back here my little brother Adam is flying in for my last few days and to keep me company on the ride home.  My first show back home is at the Fogular in Windsor on March 27th.  I have tickets so let me know if you need any.  It's going to be great to see you all again.  More info about the show are in the tour section.

Well it's 2:15am here in Arizona and I can't sleep so I thought I'd write to you guys.   I miss everyone at home but am having such a great time here in Mesa, Arizona.  I just finished my second show here tonight and it went so so great! It was at a place called Las Palmas and let me tell you it was so beautiful.  I did an hour and fifteen minute show to one of the warmest audiences yet.  They were so receptive and so kind and the night was a lot of  fun.  After the show a gentleman came up to me and said something that touched my heart so deeply.  He said, "I just wanted to say thank you.  For an hour and a half you made me forget about all the bad news I've heard on TV lately."  It meant so much to me and will go down in my books as something I will never forget.  It makes me so happy to know that my talent has the power to make people forget their problems, even if it's just for a couple hours and I'm so greatful that I can do that.  I've been here in Arizona for five days and me and my friend Brandi who came with me have been having such a great time.  On top of working I've been catching up on some much needed girl time so it's been wonderful.  We've been shopping and getting our nails done and hair cut and tomorrow we're going to lay out in the sun before the show at night.  We are so lucky to be staying here with a nice couple named Rick and Fran who have rented the upstairs of their house out to us for the week.  I was nervous when I first got here because after I flew in I had to go on my own to get a rental car which I've never done before.  It took me a while to get the hang of driving a small little car like the KIA Spectra as I'm so used to my mini van at home.  The most embarrasing thing happened yesterday though when I stopped to fill it up with gas.  I got out of the car, put my card in the machine, lifted the nozzle then tried to open the gas tank.  I noticed these two older gentlemen at the next pump watching me but I just went about my buissnes and kept trying to open the tank.  For about 2 minutes I stood there pushing, the little door and pulling on the little door in every way I could but still it would not open.  I could feel the men laughing at me so frustrated I opened the door of the car and asked Brandi to help me.  Just then she reaches down by the drivers seat and pulls a lever that opened the gas tank door.  I felt like an idiot and the men laughed so I explained that the car is not mine and they said, "SURE!!!! You must dye your hair don't you".   It was not funny I mean since when did people start opening the gas tank door from inside the car. That's crazy!

Well, I think I'm ready to lay my head down.  Thanks for checking in and reading my journals.  I love getting your emails it makes me feel close to home.  Thanks guys

Well I hope all of you had a great Valentines Day!!! I know mine was really nice.  I did a show on the 14th and it was great that Mark could be here for that.  It was a dinner show so the four of us got a free dinner as part of the deal and the show was a lot of fun.  The next day we treated Werner to the Tampa State Fair where they were holding a huge Elvis Fest.  Werner is a big Elvis fan so he really loved it.  Then the next day Mark and I spent the whole day together celebrating Valentines day by going to a movie and a nice Japanese dinner at night.  It was so hard to take him to the airport the next day.   Yesterday I had a phone interview with a station in Quebec to promote my new single and it went really well.  You can actually listen to my interview if you click this link - CLICK HERE

 

My single, "When I Get There" is getting added to more and more stations so keep requesting it.  It helps me out so much!

Lastly, I want to say a BIG congratulations to my Big brother Camiel on his engagement to Lori.  I'm so happy for you guys and wish you all the best.
